What always fascinated me
is the human ability —
MAKING BEAUTY OUT OF PAIN.
When I was asked for the first time why I decided to make music,
I said: "To Make Others Feel Seen and Understood — like what Art Does To Me."
14-year-old me made the tough people wet their eyes,
and they suggested I should Never In My Life go into show business with such a sensitive soul.
My bad — I did, with all of my heart open.
And ever since, I’ve been blessed and cursed with all of the bloody craziness of the art world.
To Befriend the Beast, you can’t stay with one foot out of the room —
it swallows you from head to toe, and you never go back to normal.
And this is what I love the most about it!
By the Art I consider a form of creation — an encapsulation of the moment.
The Movement,
The Breath,
The Word,
The Sound,
The Freedom.
KISS OF PURPLE WATER
is my own elixir of what I’ve seen, heard, and felt.
It’s an antidote to self-doubt — and an eye-widener.
And remember:
ART HURTS
